FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Malabar and Tellicherry pepper?
Both originate from Kerala. Tellicherry is a designation for large-berry pepper (4.75 mm+) harvested riper, giving higher piperine (5–6%) and fuller flavour. Malabar covers standard grades (4.25 mm+) with piperine 4–5%.
Do you supply EU-compliant pepper without EtO fumigation?
Yes. All our pepper is steam sterilized, not EtO fumigated. This meets the EU’s strict EtO residue limits (Regulation EC 2021/1799) and is safe for import into all EU member states.
What is the minimum order quantity for black pepper?
Minimum order is 250 kg per grade/format. For mixed shipments we accommodate multiple SKUs within a single FCL container with mixed packing documentation.
Which documents do you provide for black pepper export?
We provide Certificate of Analysis, Phytosanitary Certificate, Certificate of Origin, Health Certificate, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and FSSAI compliance documents. Organic lots include an organic transaction certificate.
